Formula 1 art takes center stage at the Zandvoorts Museum<\/h1>\n

Formula 1 is alive in Zandvoort \u2013 and that is now reflected in our museum. We have added a special new object to our collection: a scale model of a Formula 1 car, designed and donated by artist and interior architect Hans Peters from Bennebroek. <\/p>\n

On February 26, Hans Peters presented his scale model to Director Fokelien Renckens-Stenneberg. The press was present for this special moment. Read the article in the Zandvoortse Courant here<\/a>. Permanent Collection<\/h2>\n

Hans Peters and our collection manager Hans Konijn placed the scale model in the Formula 1 section of the permanent exhibition The Life of Memories<\/em>,<\/a> which showcases Zandvoort’s motorsport DNA.<\/p>\n

This is not just any miniature. The scale model symbolizes a larger vision: a four-meter-long steel Formula 1 car at the entrance to the circuit on the Noordboulevard. A work of art that serves as both an eye-catcher and an ode to our village’s motorsport history. <\/p>\n

With this initiative, Peters aims to demonstrate how deeply Formula 1 is rooted in Zandvoort. This message aligns perfectly with our mission: making the past visible and keeping the conversation about the future alive. <\/p>\n

Motorsport as identity<\/h3>\n

The discussion regarding the future of the circuit demonstrates how important this location is to our community. For our museum, motorsport is not a hype, but heritage. The scale model underscores that enduring connection with international racing. <\/p>\n

What is the next step?<\/b><\/h4>\n

The realization of the large-scale artwork still requires cooperation and support, including from the municipality and Mayor David Moolenburgh. We are following these developments closely. <\/p>\n
