Museum Café Volunteer
Is hospitality in your blood and do you enjoy being active?
Then become a volunteer in our cozy Museum Café! As a volunteer, you will have a supporting role. You will be managed by our floor manager and work in a great team.
What will you be doing?
Providing a warm welcome to museum visitors. Serving hot drinks, soft drinks, wine, beer and pastries. Preparing savory snacks and toasted sandwiches.
Your qualities
You are hospitable, presentable and have good communication skills.
You are customer-oriented, flexible and a team player.
- You have good social skills in dealing with different target groups, young and old.
- You are available for a 3-hour shift per week.

Volunteer Host/Hostess Front Desk & Events
Do you know better than anyone else how to receive the public in a hospitable manner? Are you able to make the museum relevant to a broad and diverse audience?
Then join the team at the Zandvoorts Museum as a volunteer. Due to the relocation to a new building, we are entering a new phase. As a result, we are looking for a volunteer who knows how to introduce residents, visitors and students to the Zandvoorts Museum in a creative way!
The team
As a Front Desk & Events volunteer, you will be part of the Public Affairs department. In close collaboration with the Floor Manager, you will shape the front desk and museum store of the Zandvoorts Museum. You will contribute to the reputation and positioning of the museum and seize opportunities to strengthen the museum’s image.
What will you be doing?
- Providing a warm welcome to museum visitors, if possible in several languages.
- Providing information about the exhibition and the public program
- Supervising visitors and the presentation in the museum
Your qualities
- You are presentable and have good communication skills.
- You are customer-oriented, flexible and a team player.
- You have good social skills in dealing with different target groups, young and old.
- You are available for a 3-hour shift per week.

Volunteer Tours / Museum Educator

The team
As a Volunteer Tours / Museum Educator, you will be part of the Public Affairs department. In close collaboration with the Floor Manager, you will shape the education, public and interaction of the Zandvoorts Museum. You will contribute to the reputation and positioning of the museum and seize opportunities to strengthen the museum’s image.
What will you be doing?
- Giving tours inside and outside the museum
- Giving museum lessons to groups from primary education
- (Co-)developing teaching materials for secondary vocational education
Your qualities
- You are presentable and have good communication skills.
- You speak and write Dutch fluently. English and German are a plus.
- You have experience dealing with different target groups.
- You have knowledge and experience in conveying history in all its facets.
- You are available for a 3-hour shift per week.

Volunteer Research & Registration
Putting together exhibitions? Managing and helping to preserve the collection? Deciding where what (or who) belongs?
Then join the team at the Zandvoorts Museum as a volunteer. Due to the relocation to a new building, we are entering a new phase. As a result, we are looking for a volunteer who knows what a collection means for a museum, in order to introduce everyone to the collection and the stories of the Zandvoorts Museum!
The team
As a Volunteer Research & Registration, you will be part of the Museum Affairs department. You will ensure the proper execution of the preservation, management and accessibility of the entire collection as part of an active collection policy. In this way, you will contribute to the reputation and positioning of the museum and seize opportunities to strengthen the museum’s image.
What will you be doing?
- Describing and numbering the museum objects.
- Entering the data and the photo of the object into the registration system on the computer.
- Helping with exhibitions with regard to design, transport and loan traffic.
Your qualities
- You are result-oriented, accurate and have an eye for detail.
- You have experience conducting research and registering collections
- You have experience working with the Adlib collection registration system
- You are available for a 3-hour shift per week.
