Water Tower

The Zandvoort water tower, built in 1913, was a landmark on the coast for many years. In addition to its function as a water supply, the tower housed a restaurant and an observation deck. In 1937, the name “Turmac” and four clocks appeared on the tower as a striking advertisement. During World War II, the structure was blown up by the German occupiers. The model shows what the tower looked like. Next to it is a silver replica, crafted in 1914 by silversmith Jan van Dijk. Together, they keep the memory of this vanished icon alive.
