As early as the nineteenth century, visitors enjoyed taking home a tangible memento of Zandvoort. Tableware, household items, and decorative objects were adorned with images of hotels, beach scenes, or well-known spots in the village. Around 1900, special souvenir shops even began to appear that catered exclusively to beachgoers. These items illustrate how Zandvoort grew into a popular seaside resort and how tourism became an important part of the local economy. Even today, souvenirs remain cherished mementos of a stay by the sea.
