From January 31 to May 25, 2026, the Zandvoorts Museum will be dedicated to the expressive sculptural art of Marlène Sjerps. In the exhibition Sculpture Now!, the Zandvoort artist presents a selection of her most characteristic bronze sculptures.
Sjerps is known for sculptures in which strength and vulnerability go hand in hand. Her work manages to make emotions tangible and invites the visitor to reflect on the beauty of imperfection and the power of human existence. The exhibition also brings back several iconic sculptures that were previously on display along the Zandvoort boulevard, showing a strong connection with the sea and the surrounding environment. With Sculpture Now!, the Zandvoorts Museum pays tribute to an artist who has played a prominent role in both the local and national art world for decades.

Zandvoort celebrates 200 years as a seaside resort this year. Zandvoorts Museum is also paying extensive attention to this. In 1826, a paved road was constructed towards Zandvoort and the first bath hotel was built. Zandvoort transformed from a fishing village into a seaside resort. To celebrate the anniversary year Zandvoort 200 Years Seaside Resort, Zandvoorts Museum is offering an anniversary discount during the months of January and February. Entrance tickets are €8.50 instead of €11.50.
Exhibitions At the Zandvoorts Museum, 4 other exhibitions are currently on display: ‘The Life of Memories’ about the history of Zandvoort, ‘Art in Residence’ paintings from the collection of the Amsterdam Museum, ‘200 Years of Club Love’ a tribute to Zandvoort’s community life, and ‘Reconstruction Zandvoort’, about the reconstruction of Zandvoort after the Second World War.
Panorama Zandvoort – The Timeless Sea An award-winning 12-minute 360° film that spectacularly brings the history of Zandvoort to life – from fishermen and Empress Sissi to war, tourism, and motorsport.
